ROUTINE: Morning

This is my current MORNING Routine

Morning is for waking up and feeling fresh and clean. Winter mornings are just a bit harder than summer, cold serums and water shock the system but I try to see it as a great way to get into the day. There's also a misconception that in winter, UV and pollution protection is not as necessary as in Summer. If anything I'm more about it as my skin tends to drink up moisture as well as needing protection. It may be a lot of steps, but it's worth it.

STEP 1: MISTY

After washing my face comes the first step. I keep my face wet and then apply two squirts all over the face. Then fan it in to absorb.

STEP 2: DEFENSE

To help against pollution, I use this every day. One squirt then spread all over my face.

STEP 3: GET JUICY

I like a moisture serum to give my skin a nice juicy layer. One drop is enough to spread over my face and give it a nice drink.

STEP 4: GET DEWY

The only active in the morning is Vitamin C which works well throughout the day. One pump leaves my skin dewy and fresh.

STEP 5: DRAINAGE
Gua Sha

With the dew from Vitamin C, I use the Gua Sha to massage my face to drain any puffiness from the night before. It's always a great way to wake up.

STEP 6: MOIST

I decant my moisturizer into a pump for hygiene and convenience. One pump is enough to spread over my face and neck.

STEP 7: FINISHER

Whether I'm indoors or out I'll always apply 1-2 pumps of SPF. I like that this SPF plays well with the other layers and doesn't leave a strong scent or feel.
