Blurring the lines - Meet JW Anderson
Established in 2008, Jonathan Anderson is an applauded fashion designer known for mixing both men and women's design codes. Anderson's line started in 2008 with menswear, with womenswear to follow in 2010. He has had major collaborations with commercial brands like Converse, Topshop, and Uniqlo which merged Anderson's unique creative to a mainstream audience. Anderson's designs push the ideas of clothing outside of the confines of traditional garments. His pieces are fluid expressions of art with graphic hardware, bold design lines and my favourite: his use of ruffles. If only I had smaller feet... I would have many pairs of his ruffle boots. Not everyone's cup of tea, but JW Anderson adds a refreshing shake-up.
