And just like that, we are back to regular programming.
Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2022 signalled the return of the runway. Crowds, Runways, Inside, Oh My! After a series of digital presentations and photoshoots the Runway is back, and to be honest it is as if it never left. Variety and Risks are abundant with designers presenting lengthy conceptual styles like Richard Quinn & Jonathan Anderson's Loewe. New York's cool-girl chic showed a strong renewal with Altuzarra, Rodarte and Jonathan Simkai. A creative renaissance in each week. Within the bright celebrations, there were a few that took the assignment too seriously whilst others had fun like Preen and Balenciaga.
There is a sense of optimism as bold looks and forward shapes push the notion of enjoyment over sensible investment. As we look to erase the past two years, these looks will help to move forward one soap heeled shoe at a time.
