Apart of my Fruche/MSFW Blogger Prize I got tickets to attend 'Art of the Cocktail Hour' held at the Town Hall before the show. Bringing the wifey Krystal, we attended the cocktail hour enjoying Cointreau Cocktails and Canapes in the Portico Room with a balcony overlooking Swanston street.
[T-B/L-R] MSFW Designer Series 1 Gala + Cointreau Blush Cocktail & Fruche
The show began with a tres amazing animalistic performance by Phillip Adams' Balletlab (above). The show was opened then by MSFW face Sophie Van Den Akker. The series show featured Gala looks from Arthur Galan AG, Aurelio Costarella, nicolangela, Rachel Gilbert, Thurley, Yeojin Bae, Gwendolynne, Richard Nylon Millinery and Christine. The tres amazing Top model Alice Burdeu walked in the show (a massive favourite of mine). Love love love!
Trends I picked up from the designers included bright colours, textures (notably from sequins, feathers and pleating) and Lace.
Some of my favourite looks from the runway are below!
A great start to MSFW Designer Series! Stay tuned for tomorrow's post on the next runway!
