The idea of newness broadens one's eye to shape, colours and beauty. Green with Envy from pieces by Virgil's Abloh's Louis Vuitton to Isabel Marant's comfy check collegiate jacket and Rick Owen's pony thigh-high boots, reminiscent of childhood memories watching Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street. I have an odd attraction towards the colour of nature, though you'd be hard-pressed to find something I own or wore that was green other than my school uniform. My fascination with padding and puff continues with Fendi's plush dressing coat in periwinkle and Natasha Zinko's printed daisy fantasy. The Male sexy isn't just about a bare chest, a boat neck by GmbH, crop suits from duo Vetements not to mention just rocking up in your jocks and a killer boot at Rick Owens. And though I feel the boat has passed on my super slender figure, those skin-tight long-sleeved tops call my name and then some. Casablanca's bright prints to Raf Simon's and Miuccia Prada's knit layering propositions have me sucking in my stomach at the thought.
I'm conflicted, but for the better? Now off to run in a field of Green.
