SKIN EDIT: SPF

The Non-Negotiable.

Sunscreen, Sunblock, SPF... whatever you call it, it is the most important thing to put on every day (even more than underwear). As a child sunscreen was a beach accessory, I never knew that I should wear it every day or the consequences of not wearing it. I still remember that classic sunscreen smell and thick white cast. Luckily now I am better educated on skincare and especially suncare. It's the endless hunt for the perfect SPF. No fragrance, barely-there consistency, high SPF rating, cup holders, you name it. Here is my current edit of sunscreens I've tried.

GLOSSIER
INVISIBLE SHIELD 35

CLAIMS: A transparent water-gel formula that feels like a serum and protects against sunburn without residue.
REPEAT or PASS: PASS
I like the formula, but I can't get it easily in Australia.

LA ROCHE-POSAY
ANTHELIOS DRY TOUCH 50

CLAIMS: Protection with Airlicium to absorb easily into oily and blemish-prone skin with a shine-free finish.
REPEAT or PASS: PASS
This version had a bit too much of a scent and wasn't as nice as other LRP sunscreens

LA ROCHE-POSAY
ANTHELIOS XL ULTRA 50

CLAIMS: Lightweight facial sunscreen made for sensitive skin providing high protection and an invisible finish.
REPEAT or PASS: REPEAT
I like the thin consistency and overall formula. Would love this in a pump.

NIOD
SURVIVAL 30

CLAIMS: Supports healthy skin defenses against environmental and lifestyle damage
REPEAT or PASSPASS
The Formula tends to wash my skin out, and it a bit too thick for my liking.
SUPERGOOP
GLOW STICK SPF 50

CLAIMS: Glow-boosting hydration and invisible broad-spectrum UV protection
REPEAT or PASSPASS
It's a sticky oil, it doesn't absorb so it's not the best for every day.

SUPERGOOP
UNSEEN SPF 40

CLAIMS: Totally invisible, weightless, scentless sunscreen with a velvety finish
REPEAT or PASSREPEAT
Nice primer-like with no cast and it's comfortable for every day.
