Milan suffers middle child syndrome in the Menswear Fashion Week Calendar.
Coming off a stimulating technicolour week in London and the promise of visionary designers in
Paris, Milan offers a soft transition between the two. A turn towards traditional tailoring, the classic
form is explored. Fur, Suiting and Luxe Ski/Sporting pieces fill the Italian runways/lookbooks.

Though it was a quiet week in my eyes there were a few gems to look forward to, some things to add
to my fall wardrobe. Jil Sander emphasised the waistline with cinched in Jackets and Coats, creating
a Male hourglass figure. The utility Crop Jackets from Calvin Klein took my eye (and possibly my
savings), having progressed from crop t-shirts from previous seasons to outwear pieces.
Alexander McQueen's diffusion line McQ gave me new trouser inspiration with large long
bermuda shorts over trousers. A few fresh ideas to tie over till Paris.
