I am not a dermatologist, expert or guru. However I do have a Face, Skin, Hair, etc... so that makes me a consumer at least. With the mounds of products I want to try and then consequentially buy, I do get to points where I look back and wonder 'was it worth it?'. This is my Edit on products that I either think are Great, So So and Not for Me. Do not get offended if there's something I don't like that you like, we all have different Faces, Skin, Hair, etc... This is my Honest thoughts on the Claims each product... well claims to do.
Claim: Long Lasting Moisture and Hydration due to the Vichy Thermal Mineralising Water and Hyaluronic Acid
Thoughts: This is an easy lightweight gel serum that I used daily to help plump and spread my skincare routine.
Verdict?: I like the serum, it does what it says. Why it's so-so is that there are so many Hyaluronic Acid based serums that are far cheaper, so it's a matter of quality.
Claim: Pushes out fine lines, reduces puffiness and dark circles and illuminates
Thoughts: I liked the texture and feel of this eye cream. It is a very nourishing cream. I must admit I am very lazy with eye creams, I tend to get lazy with this final step. My only negative about this product is that it has a strong natural scent, it's a bit too overpowering for something used so close to the nose.
Verdict?: I wouldn't get this again, more so because of the scent and my laziness rather than it's effectiveness.
Claim: Fights the 8 signs of Hang Aging
Thoughts: This is a thick white cream. I kept on trying this at my local department store, but I kept on putting on a large amount and as a result, I initially hated it because it couldn't absorb. Using a smaller amount the cream works wonders to nourish the skin without feeling too tacky or oily. This cream, however, has a rather fragrant scent. It reminds me of tropical soda.
Verdict?: I wouldn't get this again. HOWEVER, I do really like the formula so I am trying other Hand Creams by The Chemistry Brand.
Claim: Magnesium can help with Headaches, Migraines, Aches & Pains and overall body functions
Thoughts: I like to use this before and after a shower, sometimes before bed. The roll on goes on clear and the spray oil is light, definitely value for money. I believe I get 'good energy' from these products. Why I say energy is because it isn't a painkiller or a radical antibiotic, but I do feel a positive shift.
Verdict?: It's one of those products where it's definitely a luxury if you do not suffer from ailments. I don't find any harm in using it day to day as a part of a daily routine. It's a good natural alternative.
Claim: Reduces Pigmentation and Puffiness
Thoughts: I decant this into a glass rollerball with a stainless steel ball tip. This makes it super easy in the morning or night applying it to the orbital bone. The serum dries done without any trace. It has a faint caffeine scent but it dissipates upon application. It's not a complete eye lift, but the rollerball combo helps to wake up my eyes.
Verdict?: I like this serum in a Rollerball, simple and effective.
Claim: Reduce the Appearance of Scars, Stretch Marks, Dehydration, and Aging
Thoughts: This light yellow oil spread easily on the body. I didn't see a lot of changes to the random scars on my legs, but the skin felt nourished and plump. I wasn't a fan of the bottle design, I hate those Toner/Oil bottles with the little hole at the top, I feel like so much product is wasted. The oil also has a very strong tropical scent, which I am not a fan of.
Verdict?: This pricy oil I feel over promises. I wish it came in a different bottle and without the scent. I'm still happy with simple Rose Hip Oil.
Claim: Protects your skin from pollution (oxygen, environment and blue light)
Thoughts: I like using this thin brown serum to thin out a thick cream in my routine. It has a faint scent but it doesn't last long. I like the effective pump bottle which gives you the perfect amount for your face without feeling wet or wasting.
Verdict?: This is like wearing Sunscreen, you wear it with the hope that is it protecting your skin. There aren't too many anti-pollution serums on the market and this one is rather cost effective so I don't mind using this daily.
