MORPHE 35b eye shadow pallette - MAYBELLINE great lash mascara
GLOSSIER boy brow black - MORPHE brushes

COVID-19 has unlocked may things, long lists of Books, Movies and To-Dos in efforts to stay creative and sane. Being unemployed throws in more time to be spent... on what exactly? I don't know about you but I spend a good chunk of my screentime on youtube, especially makeup tutorials. Maybe it's my inner drag queen but I'll chuck on a few tutorials in the background whilst writing or even just to unwind after a stressful day of...

This is not a tutorial by no means. But I thought I would share that I'm playing around with, a) because why not and b) I think it turned out pretty well. Buying makeup as a male presenting person can be rather confronting and though I've watched my years worth of makeup tutorials and know a thing or two about brands, the idea of going into a shop and buying can be rather daunting or way too over the top. Luckily with COVID-19 closing all retail, online, it is. I thought I would start off with some basics and work from there. Because let's be real you don't need an entire MECCA or SEPHORA to get started.
  • Eyeshadow: I wanted a one and done palette to play with. Morphe have decent and cost-effective palettes (and on the occasion are on sale). They have plenty of colour stories, but I chose the 35b for BRIGHT which basically is Unicorn's playground.
  • Eyeshadow Primer: I debated on this but ended up getting it. One to help the shadows stand out and secondly as some of the eyeshadows are pigments it'll help to protect it from staining. If you have a concealer it would do the same.
  • Brushes: Other than fingers, brushes are helpful. Morphe has easy enough brush sets for what you need.
  • Mascara: Just to make them lashes stand up against them bright eyes. Anyone will do. I used to own a CoverGirl one from those America's Next Top Model days, but Maybelline Great Lash is a cult favourite.
  • Brows: Brows... well just because. I comb them through with a bit of Glossier Boy Brow in Black.
