These Japanese-inspired, minimalistic sandals give me hope for a vibrant summer (yes I know they are black but still). As much as I am a magpie to hardware there is something about Jil Sander's pieces overall that scream a sense of curation, calm, and a positive maturity. I pray that these sandals would take me to groceries and the beach without the hideous damage some fashion sandals can bestow on the wearer. The sandals reference the Japanese 'Geta' or 'Zori' shoes that have the same slip-on style, but in padded leather for increased comfort. The optimism that these babies will be on my feet come summer... and not to mention not being in a lockdown to be able to wear them. I can only postively hope!
