Gwyneth Paltrow - Elle USA September 2011

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the September Issue of Elle USA with two covers shot by Carter Smith.

I think for the cover of a September Issue the styling choices are a bit odd, mainly the black (left look) just because it is such a minimal look. I do however like the Louis Vuitton look (right) notably worn by Kate Moss and Fergie this year. 

It's not my favourite Gwyneth cover, but heck it's not the worst cover ever. And fingers crossed that the spread is tres chic and amazing too!

Take a look at Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake's spread for Elle USA, the August Issue. The spread was shot by Carter Smith.

The two are very intimate in the spread like in their movie 'Friends with Benefits'. Looks by Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin and Chanel were featured in the spread. 

I do like the spread, it does scream Elle USA with warm tones and natural light manipulation. Kunis looks tres amazing in the green and lace Tom Ford look (right)

Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake cover the August Issue of Elle USA.

Kunis and Timberlake star together in the film 'Friends with Benefits' where two friends decide to take the common guy girl relationship to the next well sexual level.

The cover is cute, though I get a 'I'm at a wedding reception' vibe. Its refreshing to see a couple on the cover of a magazine.

I think this summer spread is tres intense. Love love love how Stone is at the beach and there are random simulation props on the sand. Stone wears looks from Stella McCartney, Prada, Celine and Versace.

The cover is very summer, Stone looks great blond. She is a very busy bee, apart of the Spiderman reboot, she is also in 5 feature films this year alone. Love love loving the feathers too.

The spread is very sultry and provocative, playing with shadows and old Hollywood hair.

I'm liking the spread. McAdam's has come a long way from being Regina King. And her fashion at the Cannes Film Festival has been tres amaze.

Actress Rachel McAdams covers the Summer June issue of Elle USA.

Currently McAdams has a new film out 'Midnight in Paris' as well as the sequel to Sherlock Holmes out later this year.

Cover tries have been on the net for a while now for the June issue, but now this is the official cover. Awkward pose but fun and flirty just in time for summer.

Like all Elle USA, I'll wait for the spread for final judgement.

The cover star looks chic in the clean and semi retro spread. Stefani is such a rough diamond, I love love love it! My favourite shot is of her in Balenciaga next to retro televisions.

The hottest female rapper, Nicki Minaj got her own subscribers cover and is prominently featured in Elle USA's May Music Issue. Her feature is titled 'In the Minajerie'.

I'm love love loving me some Nicki Minaj, she is a breath of fresh air to the rapping industry, proving that a girl can rap and look tres intense all at the same time. I would of loved to of seen some of her quirky faces in the spread, but she is looking stunning so I can't complain.

The May Issue of Elle USA features current and iconic female artists from Aretha Frankilin to Adele. 

I've come across the photos from the feature and thought I would share. 

My favourites are above with Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj and Adele. Minaj in particular is looking tres intense, very sexy. I'm eager to read the article, hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

Gwen Stefani's May cover for Elle USA has surfaced. The May Music Issue has a large feature on women in music with Willow Smith, Jennifer Hudson, Adele and more. I previously posted singer Robyn's Cover, but Stefani's is the newsstand version.

I'm love love loving me this cover. Stefani has come into her own recently having refined her style from harajuku and cutesy to really chic and feminine. This is my favourite Elle USA cover, the overbearing text and colours just work this time around. Not to mention Stefani looks tres intense in Givenchy, and that hair I love love love.

Stefani is a busy lady with No Doubt reformed and set to release a comeback record, becoming a L'Oreal Spokeswomen, having two fashion lines and raising two adorable boys! Fun life no?

Robyn - Elle USA May 2011

Belting a high note, Singer Robyn is on the cover of Elle USA for the May Music Issue.

Robyn's cover seems to be in a cover set featuring other female artists Gwen Stefani, Adele, Jennifer Hudson and Adele. Robyn is also wearing Prada, which seems to be a very popular brand choice with covers at the moment.

I'm eager to see which other artists land a cover. And I'll be sure to post them.

Amanda Seyfried - Elle USA April 2011 Spread

As promised here are shots from Amanda Seyfried's Elle USA April Issue shoot. The spread was shot by Alexei Hay.

Seyfried poses with various animals from cats to a duck. I love love love the spread, Seyfried looks so composed even though it would of been hard to keep focus holding animals while trying to look fierce.

My favourite shot (right) is of Seyfried with a white cat, her eyes are look tres intense very cat like it just works well.

Amanda Seyfried lands her second April cover, this time it is for Elle USA. 

Seyfried is wearing a pink, black and orange Prada dress from their Spring ready to wear collection recently worn by Hailee Steinfeld to the SAG awards.

I love love love this Elle cover, something about the cover screams the 90s. The combination between the dress's bold colour print and Seyfried's covergirleque look makes me think of that. Seyfried is looking red hot, loving the variety of looks she gives on her recent covers.

The spread is a definite step up from her plain cover. I especially love love love the shot of Perry in the Lion cage wearing a red hot leotard.

Now just for her tour, which I've heard will smell of cotton candy. Mmm....

Katy Perry is on the March cover of Elle USA for 2011. The cover was shot by Carter Smith. At the end of this month Perry will begin her anticipated Californian Dreams Tour.

I'm honestly yet to see a cover of Perry which I love. She's such a pretty girl it shouldn't be too hard to get a great cover out of her. 

I'll wait for her spread. And for her tour!!

Katie Holmes - Elle USA February 2011

Katie Holmes looks clean and chic on the February cover of Elle USA. The Dawson´s Creek star will feature as the iconic Jackie O in an upcoming television series. The cover is a tad plain with Holmes just in a fitted jumpsuit, but heck she does look good. Her spread has more edge than the cover, I´ll post that soon.

With the countdown to the end of the decade/2010, I thought I'd feature my favourite covers of the year. The majority of them either come from the UK or Australia, I guess I prefer more artistic and artsy covers than just text and a colour block in the back?
