The Fantasy and Campness of it all - Meet Mugler
Founded by Manfred Thierry Mugler in the early '70s, inspired by various elements of Art, Dance, Architecture, and Performance. Mixing materials, pop culture, and corsetry, Supermodels and Celebrities alike donned Mugler designs from Naomi to more recently Kim Kardashian with the resurgence of 80-90's chic. Remember Beyonce's motorbike tour look? Or Lady Gaga's metallic paparazzi corset look? Inspo at it's finest. These days the majority of people may know Mugler from its perfume line, however, it is the brand's fashion which has always excited me. Mugler himself closed the fashion arm in the early 2000s but in its slumber has seen designers like Nicola Formichetti, David Koma and most recently Casey Cadwallader take the helm to invigorate the once innovative and conceptual brand.
